About My Clients
Many of my patient appear to be managing on the outside, while internally feeling anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or weighed down by depression, ADHD, PMDD, or past difficult experiences. My Background and Approach
’m Tannia Salazar, APRN, FNP, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for adults. My career began in trauma and emergency medicine, where I supported patients and families through some of the most vulnerable and high-stress moments of their lives. That experience taught me how to stay grounded under pressure, listen deeply, and recognize the strong connection between physical health and emotional well-being. Today, I bring that same perspective into psychiatric care. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, PMDD, ADHD, stress, and cyclical mood-related challenges, with a special interest in women’s mental health and LGBTQIA+ affirming care. My approach is: • Collaborative — we make treatment decisions together. • Whole-person focused — considering the broader context of your health, lifestyle, and emotional well-being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At Rooted in Serenity, my goal is to combine evidence-based psychiatric treatment with compassion, nuance, and authenticity. I believe mental health care should feel supportive, approachable, and free from stigma. My values are rooted in cultural humility, inclusivity, and creating a space where you feel heard, respected, and understood — not reduced to symptoms.
