About My Clients
I serve adults who look like they are keeping it together, but internally carry heavy, invisible weight—unprocessed trauma, relentless anxiety, panic, grief, or major life shifts. They are often white-knuckling through it, living in constant fight-or-flight, or feeling exhausted from performing normalcy. If you are seeking a safe, body-inclusive space to drop the mask, unburden stored pain, and reclaim genuine ease, reach out. I look forward to seeing what we can do together!
My Background and Approach
I became excited about becoming a therapist at age twelve, when I watched a guru connect with a troubled child who had only known how to push others away. His skill seemed like magic…. and I was hooked. I soaked up classes in counseling psychology and dabbled in Eastern philosophy with the hope of gaining different perspectives on how to relieve human suffering. In 2003, I chose to step out on my own and start a private practice, focusing on adults dealing with the impacts that trauma, anxiety, and depression cause. To truly meet my clients in those deep spaces, I have immersed myself in experiential modalities like EMDR, Gestalt, and psychedelic-assisted work. Working with me, you'll find I'm kind of a goofball, so expect the occasional curse word or a joke at my own expense. I embrace it all- tears, laughter, anger, and joy. All of you is welcome.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe deeply in people's basic goodness and our innate capacity for healing when we’re met with real compassion and safety. My practice is explicitly LGBTQIA+ affirming, anti-racist, trauma-informed, and body-inclusive—because therapy should be a place where you never have to hide or justify who you are. My commitment to the LGBTQ+ community began early in my career facilitating support groups, and it remains a core pillar of my practice today. Outside of private practice, I volunteer my time providing clinical supervision to interns and pre-licensed clinicians who serve underserved and marginalized populations. As someone who loves the creative arts—having dabbled in acting and improv myself—I also actively support a local non-profit theatre that elevates and centers historically underrepresented voices. Whether in the therapy room, in clinical mentorship, or out in our community, I stand for radical inclusion, dignity, and deep respect.
