About My Clients
Are you feeling overwhelmed and stuck in anxious loops of intrusive thoughts, perfectionism, and procrastination? Do you feel unsure of what your mind and body needs to live your ideal life free of anxiety and fear? I've been there, which is why I became what I wish I had. My goal for you is to learn mindful-body techniques to understand your needs, while building confidence and trust in yourself to take action-based steps towards your most fulfilling life. You can gain control of your life.
My Background and Approach
You don't need to feel alone anymore. I have explored, learned, and taught mindful-body skills for the past 6 years. I have even used and grown from these skills myself! My approach is to ground in your present experience to create self awareness with mindfulness skills. Then, we will work our way backwards with a science based approach using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma Focused Therapy to really understand how and where our emotions and feelings are guiding us. Sometimes we need a little extra compassion and support when digging deep, so don't worry, I'll be an empathetic guide for you. Once we understand ourselves and our needs, I will gently move you through creating an action-oriented plan through Solution Focused Therapy. You will never have to worry about leaving a session wondering what to do next. During this process you will gain understanding, compassion, trust, confidence, and a true excitement to live your life again.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
You are capable. You are resilient. You know more than you think you do. You may not believe these affirmations now, but I do. Our brains are wired for survival and unfortunately you have had to live in that survival for far to long. I know that you know how to protect yourself, now it's time to let yourself live a fulfilling and enjoyable life. It is possible! Through my personal and professional journey, I have seen many people learn how to trust their intuition by healing the parts of them that have become their armor. I believe it's time to shed that armor and build trust in your ability to pick it up only when it's needed. Now don't get me wrong, I will be an empathetic space for you, but I will also try to make you laugh with silly jokes and show you how cute my dog is, since we share an office. I will continue to advocate for mental health to be openly talked about without stigma and LOUDLY support anyone who stands up against bullying, sexual assault, and domestic violence.
