The biggest reason many don't seek counseling is the fear of reliving the past. Forward facing trauma therapy proves you don't always have to go back to move forward. There is a different way. There is a better way. We start with the symptoms of the present. Then look at how trauma affects the brain and changes how we, think, feel, and behave here in the present. Learning how to fix and reset the brain while decreasing symptoms is our goal at Sessions of Serenity.
My Background and Approach
I am NCC certified and a Clinically Certified Trauma Professional. I work with adults, teen and children. I specialize in helping those who suffer from past Trauma and PTSD. I use TF-CBT and Forward facing trauma therapy to help decrease symptoms in the present. Clients usually notice a decrease in symptoms after just a few sessions. I can help you take your life back. It only takes a minute to reach out for help. That one minute can and will change your life. I love to use what inspires you, being art, music, writing, dance or anything else that can bring laughter, serenity, hope and healing. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Working with Trauma patients has been the most rewarding experience for me and this work holds a very special place in my heart. I know it is not easy to face your demons. I have been there. I have dealt with loss, anxiety, depression, addiction, abuse. I have witnessed how trauma can destroy lives if one does not get help. As for me and the type of therapist I am I can tell you I am a bit off the wall. Some say I'm a bit too open with my clients, but I cannot expect someone to come and trust me with their deepest thoughts without creating a genuine therapeutic relationship. So you get a real person, one who will laugh and cry with you, pray with you and for you.
