About My Clients
I work with young adults navigating anxiety, stress, identity, life transitions, faith, and relationships. Many want to understand themselves more deeply, explore attachment, improve communication, regulate emotions, and grow through conflict. Others seek structure, new tools, or simply space to figure things out. I offer a warm, supportive environment to help you grow into the person you're becoming. Faith-based counseling is available if desired.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Resident in Counseling with a BA in Psychology from George Mason University and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I’ve worked with clients across the lifespan, from children as young as 4 to teens and now primarily college students and young adults. My experience in school, community, and private practice settings allows me to meet clients with flexibility, empathy, and a practical lens. I specialize in helping young adults navigate anxiety, stress, identity, life transitions, ADHD, relationships, and faith. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and solution-focused strategies to help clients understand their emotions, build healthier habits, and move toward meaningful goals. I also enjoy helping clients explore attachment, improve communication, and manage emotional regulation. If you’re looking for a space that balances structure and compassion, I’d be honored to support you. Faith-based counseling is available if desired.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Black woman and first-generation college graduate, I’m passionate about creating affirming, accessible spaces for growth and healing. I care deeply about how our early experiences shape who we are—especially through the lens of attachment—and how emotional regulation plays a central role in our well-being, relationships, and everyday life. I believe that with the right support, people can unlearn patterns, grow in self-awareness, and build a life that feels more connected and whole. These values guide my work and reflect my commitment to walking with clients through both reflection and action. I’m also passionate about mental health advocacy, particularly within BIPOC communities, and I strive to reduce stigma and increase representation in the field. Whether you’re seeking clarity, healing, or simply space to be yourself, I’m here to support you in that process.
