About My Clients
Do you feel like you're carrying a lot but rarely have space to focus on yourself? Maybe you're navigating relationship challenges, a life transition, family stress, self-doubt, or feeling overwhelmed by everything life is asking of you. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families who want to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, and create meaningful change. My goal is to provide a space where you feel heard, supported, and understood.
My Background and Approach
I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern currently completing my Master's degree at Syracuse University and providing therapy services under the supervision of a licensed clinician. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that people are more than the challenges that bring them to therapy. I believe our experiences, relationships, families, and environments all influence how we see ourselves and respond to life's difficulties. As a therapist, I strive to understand the bigger picture rather than focusing only on symptoms or problems. Together, we can explore patterns, relationships, and experiences that may be contributing to your current concerns while also identifying strengths that can support change. My work is informed by Narrative and Solution-Focused approaches, which help clients recognize their strengths, explore new possibilities, and move toward their preferred future. I currently offer low-cost and sliding-scale services as part of my training.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person has a story worth understanding. The thoughts, emotions, and relationship patterns that cause us pain often make more sense when we explore the experiences that shaped them. Rather than asking, "What's wrong with you?" I believe it is often more helpful to ask, "What has happened to you?" I welcome clients from all backgrounds, beliefs, cultures, and walks of life. I strive to create a space where people feel respected, accepted, and valued, and where they can show up authentically without fear of judgment. I value meaningful relationships, lifelong learning, and personal growth. I believe therapy should honor each person's unique experiences, values, and goals. I believe change becomes possible when people better understand themselves, explore their experiences with curiosity, and recognize the strengths they already possess. Sometimes healing begins with simply feeling understood and supported.
