About My Clients

My practice is currently full - To be fully present for what matters and to participate in relationships with wisdom, creativity and joy, it helps to have a safe place to share feelings of vulnerability, anxiety and concern. I work from the perspective that we access increased capacity, strength and intuition by making contact with our emotions and developing an awareness of the insights they offer and by attuning to the wisdom of our own body.

My Background and Approach

Drawing on the interconnected fields of neuroscience, ancient traditions and psychology, my work supports and amplifies our inherent capacity in a variety of ways. My approach is highly relational, meaning that I love the people I work with. Neuroscience supports the understanding that a trust-filled relationship is an ingredient that initiates change and precipitates the easing of depression, anger, grief and anxiety. Based on a foundation of earned trust and relationship, we can explore what is possible both within and beyond talk therapy. Mindfulness, compassion, and somatic exercises help create new neural pathways, shift outdated patterns and reconnect people to their body’s inherent wisdom, resilience and vitality.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Negative life events, multigenerationl trauma, anything experienced as “too much too soon”...these things frequently disconnect us from our body’s ability to repair and heal, both emotionally and physically. Using a range of skills and modalities, I help people reconnect to a sense of wellness, increased vitality and possibility. My work as a counselor is influenced by my own diverse life experiences and fields of study: I am a feminist and former stoneworker, I am a mother of teenage sons, and I have tremendous empathy and regard for the path of men and adolescent males at this time in history. As an Armenian American, I have first hand experience with the mulitgenerational impacts of genocide and other traumas experienced within a cultural line. If you are looking for skilled partnership on this leg of your journey - I hope that you reach out. My practice is currently full. If you reach out I'll include you on my waitlist and look forward to working with you:)!
