My Background and Approach
My style is anchored in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) , but I take an eclectic approach to fully address your specific concerns. I respect your identity, culture, and background and make sure that key considerations like your upbringing, beliefs, religion, sexuality, and acculturation are incorporated into treatment to the extent you feel necessary. In addition to CBT, I also incorporate compassion-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, solutions-based therapy, and behavioral therapy approaches. I am bilingual in English and Vietnamese.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I lived in sunny San Diego for four years, but have always been an East Coaster at heart. I am from Baltimore, MD. This community is my home. Outside a professional capacity, I enjoy cooking and spending time with my dog. My core values are honesty, compassion, open-mindedness, and good humor.
