About My Clients
Have you struggled with feelings of uncertainty, hopelessness, confusion, or even fear during these unprecedented times? My role is to help you push through these challenges and live a more fulfilling life. I've worked with various populations including, parole and probation, substance abuse, community based mental health agencies, residential and outpatient programs, at risk youth, group homes, in-home therapy, state mandated counseling, school and private settings.
My Background and Approach
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, I’m a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist and Certified School Counselor. I obtained my B.F.A. in Theater Arts/ Dance and M.Ed in Counseling Psychology from Howard University and my Advanced Graduate Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University- Brooklyn Campus. From a holistic and strength-based approach, my role is to support individuals experiencing a range of psychological and social-emotional concerns, including Life Transitions (High School, College, Career, Mid-life Crisis and Health Issues), Mood Disorders (Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Trauma and PTSD), and Relationships (Personal, Family, and Employment). My treatment orientation integrates Person-centered therapy, SFBT, CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Dance/Movement Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the ability to change and grow. In life we all face hard seasons, but its how we cope during these times that makes the difference.
