About My Clients
Are you interested in counseling but unsure if it's right for you? Maybe you have started therapy before and decided it was not a good experience. I aim to provide a safe space for clients to become comfortable with beginning counseling. Clients may gain a better understanding of what counseling may look like for them and how they might benefit from starting. Adult clients have found that it has been helpful to have someone to talk to that understands their behaviors.
My Background and Approach
Cultural humility and empathy are important to me in my approach, and l use these to address any client concerns. Through the use of empathy and cultural humility, I create a safe space for clients to work through their experiences and take steps to the lives they desire. Goals in therapy often include providing the tools that clients need to work through any struggles life brings. I foster an attitude of resilience and improvement with tools often found in the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach to counseling. In sessions we will address thoughts and assess the impact they have on different areas of your lived experience and we will discuss adjusting these thoughts. Clients often experience improvements in a few weeks using these skills. Clients may often come to sessions and talk through issues they may be experiencing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Accepting the need for support is a courageous first step toward personal growth. Access to quality mental healthcare remains challenging for many, making it crucial to provide the right resources. Mental health is not just a component but a foundation of overall well-being. If you value discussing how mental health intersects with other parts of life, I invite you to reach out.
