My Background and Approach
I received my degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Central Florida. For the last seven years, I have worked with adolescents and adults as both a mental health and substance use counselor. I utilize a strength- based and person-centered approach when assisting my clients with relational issues, substance use, anxiety, and depression.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I tailor my approach to meet each client's needs and create a nurturing, supportive environment as I accompany you through the therapeutic process. I believe that being an understanding and supportive presence in the room and the therapeutic relationship is a vital element in the success of therapy. I believe in accepting everyone as they are and assisting in the development of your own personal goals so you can maintain your autonomy and feel empowered in your work with me. I also try to ensure I provide a judgement-free counseling experience.
