About My Clients
My ideal client is stuck. They recognize that things have just not been going their way for some reason or another. They’re tired of stressing about the things they can’t control and may not even recognize what is or isn’t within their control. They may have difficulties with past trauma, ADHD, depression, anxiety, psychosis, sleep, or self-compassion. They recognize it’s time to take accountability for their part in their story. They are ready to make the changes and fight to become themselves.
My Background and Approach
I utilize an eclectic approach that is trauma-informed and person-centered. I assess to make sure both you and I understand what we’re working towards. This process occurs initially and throughout treatment to make sure we’re working smarter and not harder. I utilize an evidence based approach that is tailored specifically for each individual client. We gather the information needed, set realistic measurable goals, determine strategies to test in pursuit of those goals, and adjust as needed. My personal goal for each client is no longer need me. I want to give you the tools needed to heal and grow. I have received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and additional specialized training for working with individuals who experience ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, OCD, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Psychosis.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I personally believe that everyone is capable of growth. We may not always know exactly where to begin, or even where we want to go, but we are all capable of improvement. The difference between those who improve and those who do not, is based in available resources and the tenacity to increase those resources. Whether it’s money, friends, physical fitness, career, or academic pursuits, we all have barriers (Some more than others). I am living in my purpose when I help people who want to help themselves. I each of my clients, “I will not work harder than you, but I will put in as much as effort as you’re willing to put in. I will hold you accountable, just as I hold myself accountable. “ The privilege of working with other people to grow, has also affording me the humbling opportunity to grow as well. Let’s grow together.
