About My Clients
I work with Black, Brown, queer, and neurodivergent adults who are disconnected from body. May experience overwhelming and controlling intrusive thoughts, relationship distress, or patterns that feel hard to break. Many of my clients are used to pushing through, people-pleasing, ruminating or overthinking, and are now seeking a space to slow down, reconnect with their body, and build self-trust in a way that feels authentic and affirming.
My Background and Approach
I’m trained in Brainspotting, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and somatic-based skill building. I help you not only understand your patterns, but actively shift behaviors in support of a values-based life. My approach is trauma-competent, culturally affirming, and decolonized, centering your identity and lived experience while supporting you in learning how to drop the mask and show up more fully as yourself. I specialize in working with Black, queer, and neurodivergent clients, integrating somatic and body-based practices to support nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and embodied healing. I also offer walk-and-talk therapy sessions in outdoor spaces throughout Georgia, for clients who benefit from movement-based, grounded, in-person work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a Black Caribbean, queer, nonbinary therapist committed to culturally affirming, decolonized, trauma-informed care. My work is grounded in the belief that healing should not require people to mask, shrink, or disconnect from who they are in order to be supported. I center authenticity, embodiment, cultural liberation, and community care in my practice. I am passionate about supporting Black, Brown, queer, and neurodivergent communities navigating systems that often do not reflect or affirm their lived experiences. I also hold space for identity exploration, relational dynamics, sexuality, and power in a nonjudgmental and affirming way. Beyond individual therapy, I engage in community healing through workshops, support groups, and education focused on intergenerational trauma and OCD-informed care for marginalized communities. I believe in accessible, nervous system-informed healing and creating spaces where people can safely reconnect with themselves and their bodies.
