About My Clients
Do you have a hard time imagining yourself loving your body, talking kindly to yourself, or relaxing around food? Do these ideas can seem unattainable or unrealistic, but as an eating disorder-recovered therapist, I know all of these things are possible when you have the right tools and motivation. My clients include people of all genders, orientations, identities, religions, and backgrounds, and they are all incredibly resilient and wise in their own ways.
My Background and Approach
I offer specialized treatment for all kinds of eating disorders and disordered eating, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, atypical anorexia, and orthorexia. I'm also happy to offer therapy focused on other mental health struggles such as depression, anxiety, trauma, sexual issues, gender identity, faith transitions, and personality disorders. I have professional experience in eating disorder and general mental health treatment at the inpatient, residential, IOP, and outpatient levels. My approach is based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and person-centered theories. This approach is flexible, open-minded, and well-rounded, acknowledging the person as a whole rather than as a diagnosis or a problem to be solved.
