About My Clients
My specialty lies in guiding couples and families through the intricate dance of connection and disconnection. I believe relationships are living systems—ever-evolving and deeply intertwined. My passion is helping clients rediscover their strengths, rewrite their stories, and build resilient bonds that inspire hope and transformation.
My Background and Approach
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I specialize in working with couples and families to foster connection, understanding, and growth. I use an empathic and systemic approach in session, creating a safe, non-judgmental space where all voices are heard. My practice integrates various modalities including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Strategic Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy, EMDR, and Somatic Therapy, tailored to meet each individual's unique needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Black woman my identity deeply informs my approach to healing and connection. I bring a nuanced understanding of the cultural, societal, and historical contexts that shape my clients' experiences, especially those from marginalized communities. My lived experience allows me to create a culturally affirming space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. I am committed to honoring diverse identities and perspectives, recognizing the resilience and strength within Black communities, and incorporating culturally responsive practices into my work. This intersection of my personal identity and professional approach enriches the therapeutic process, fostering trust and empowering clients to embrace their authentic selves as they navigate their journeys toward growth and connection.
