About My Clients
My clients are people who feel like they know what they want to say, do, and achieve but they are not able to create a plan, follow through, and really connect with others. I have experience working with a wide range of brain based conditions from those with ADHD, Autism, concussion or no diagnosis at all to the family members of those who have dementia and want to communicate better with their loved one.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed speech-language pathologist in the state of Illinois and have been practicing since 2015. I have provided speech therapy for adults in various clinical settings throughout this time, including acute hospital, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, and home health care. My experience includes evaluating and treating patients who have experienced ADHD, stroke, brain injury, Parkinson’s Disease, and dementia. Our work will involve education and learning strategies to more effectively think and communicate. My years of training and experience have equipped me with a library of rehabilitative and compensatory techniques from which to choose.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Being an effective speech therapist requires a commitment to a lifetime of learning. I love to read and learn, and I am always taking classes to improve my professional knowledge and skills. I love to think outside the box and try creative strategies. My clients receive exceptional guidance that leads to improved thinking and communication abilities focused on achieving real-world results.
