About My Clients
As humans, we all strive to be seen, heard, and understood. I believe in the power of connection as a healing intervention, this feeling that “someone gets me” allows for an opening to a deeper exploration of oneself. At times we may all experience uncertainty and self-doubt, face challenges in our relationships, or find ourselves stuck in unhelpful patterns. I enjoy working with individuals who are interested in understanding more about themselves and how they move through the world.
My Background and Approach
I am an LICSW with over fifteen years of experience practicing a strength-based and trauma informed model where I collaborate with clients to discover a resiliency within themselves. While I have experience with both adolescents and adults, currently I am seeing adults 18 + via telehealth only. I work with individuals who may experience a range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, adjusting to life transitions and those impacted by trauma. I am an LGBTQ affirming therapist and understand challenges faced by those who have been affected by historical, racial and intergenerational trauma. I offer an open, empathic, non-judgmental space and draw from a variety of philosophies and modalities including psychodynamic, CBT, trauma-informed, somatic and relational approaches. I support my clients in understanding their own situations best, and believe they know the answers. It is my role to help you find those answers within yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the concept of how small changes can make a big impact. I believe in demonstrating compassion, kindness and generosity through our words and actions. I am committed to practice with an informed social justice and anti-oppressive lens.
