About My Clients
Taking the step to start therapy is a huge accomplishment but also an intimidating task. At times, it may feel like you’re just stuck and waiting to feel better. I know that it can seem like a vicious cycle - the trauma, pain, anxiety, depression, or distress. But what if you gave yourself the chance to get better - to work on yourself, to be heard, and to move forward? Therapy can help you process these tough situations , and it would be my pleasure to be a part of your journey to healing.
My Background and Approach
As an associate and fully licensed professional counselor, I’ve trained in and provided trauma-focused therapy approaches to children, adolescents, adults, and caregivers. During my master’s program, I specialized in bilingual counseling and by extension culturally competent counseling. During my work as a student counselor, intern, LPC associate, fully licensed LPC, and community provider in a nonprofit setting, I’ve counseled hundreds of people from many life stages, backgrounds, and problems. I have also trained in ACT, CBT, TF-CBT, and motivational interviewing. I’m dedicated to always growing and expanding my knowledge to provide high quality counseling to any client in need.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Since young adulthood and even in my adolescence, I’ve always had a strong sense of social justice. Over the years, with education, experience, and self-taught knowledge, I’ve become an even more fervent supporter of LGBTQ+ rights, equality, human rights and freedoms; and the progress for minorities including but not limited to persons of any race, gender, transgender rights, disabled, and oppressed groups.
