My focus isn't so much on how you got here (although we do pay some attention to that!), but how we can roll up our sleeves and work together so you can live a life with less self-doubt, self-criticism, and anxiety and more more confidence, self-compassion and authenticity.
My Background and Approach
I help adolescents and adults knock out their inner haters and Chicken Littles (do you remember him? He always thought the sky was falling...) through a blend of science and compassion. As a psychotherapist with 20+ years of experience, I specialize in the application of Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and therapies focused on acceptance, commitment and compassion to treat a wide range of issues. I am the author of Your Emotions and You: A Workbook and DBT Explained: An Introduction to Essential Dialectical Behavior Therapy Concepts, Practices, and Skills.
