About My Clients

I love to work with couples, people who identify as trans* or gender expansive, others from the 2SLGBTIA+ community, individuals who work in high performance/high stress careers or who struggle with perfectionism, and teens. I enjoy teaching individuals the tools necessary to rebuild their relationships with others, themselves, and the world around you so you can live a more authentic and fulfilling life. We also treat people with eating disorders and trauma.

My Background and Approach

My therapy style is eclectic in nature, with roots in CBT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and feminist theory. This means my focus is always on you, what tools or techniques might be helpful based on your unique situation, and what patterns aren't serving you anymore. For my work with couples, I am level 2 trained in Gottman Method which helps me get to know your relationship first, understand your goals and challenges, and show you how to get unstuck. I have received intensive training CBT, trauma informed care, couples therapy, and crisis intervention. Ultimately, my goal is to help you and your partner understand what you both want together, and give you the tools to get there.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that the heart of change is a desire to live a more authentic life; and I know from personal experience how intense that can be! These moments transform our sense of self and our interactions with the world around us, and to support someone on that journey is the most powerful and rewarding aspect of my field. As an active member of the LGBTQ community, an anti-racist, and a parent, I understand how challenging it can be to live in an unjust world. Not only do I want to change perspectives for my own generation, but I believe that the more we're able to address inequities and evolve our community, the better the world will be for our children and future generations. When we address the mental health disparities we bring authenticity, love, and acceptance back to the forefront of human interaction where it belongs.
