About My Clients
I work with adult women navigating divorce, separation, life transitions, and chronic burnout. Many have spent years carrying too much, keeping others comfortable, and losing sight of their own needs. I also work with couples stuck in high-conflict patterns. Conversations become defensive, explosive, withdrawn, or unresolved. Both partners may feel unheard, blamed, or alone. Together, we slow the cycle down, understand its roots, and build a path toward repair.
My Background and Approach
I am Suzanne Maynard, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing online therapy in Tennessee and Nevada. I focus on women navigating divorce recovery, life transitions, and chronic burnout, as well as couples caught in high-conflict relationship patterns. My approach is direct, relational, and grounded in evidence-based care. I am Level 3 Trained in the Gottman Method and use this framework to help couples identify destructive patterns, reduce emotional reactivity, strengthen communication, and repair after conflict. Couples sessions are 90 minutes, allowing space to address dynamics without rushing. I incorporate EMDR to process painful memories and relational wounds that shape the present. DBT-informed skills support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and clearer boundaries. Together, we look beneath what feels stuck so you can respond with more steadiness, self-trust, and intention. Faith-sensitive care can include Christian values when desired.
