About My Clients
I work primarily with women and teens who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck during periods of transition. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside and struggling internally. I also support individuals during pregnancy and the postpartum period navigating anxiety, mood changes, intrusive thoughts, and identity shifts. My clients value a warm, collaborative, and thoughtful approach to therapy.
My Background and Approach
I’m a licensed therapist and Clinical Director of North Salem Psychotherapy, with over a decade of experience working with teens, women, and adults across hospital, outpatient, and private practice settings. I specialize in supporting women and teens navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and major life transitions, including pregnancy and the postpartum period. My approach is collaborative, non-judgmental, and grounded in evidence-based care. I draw from DBT, mindfulness-based strategies, and relational work to help clients build emotional regulation skills, increase self-understanding, and feel more grounded in their lives. I believe therapy works best within a strong, trusting relationship and at a pace that feels supportive and sustainable.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative, non-judgmental, and grounded in a strong therapeutic relationship. I value creating a calm, attuned space where clients don’t need to perform or have everything figured out. I believe symptoms often make sense in context, and that change happens through increased self-understanding, emotional regulation, and compassion for oneself. My work is guided by the belief that people already hold strengths within them, and that therapy can help clarify what matters most so clients can move through life’s transitions with greater intention and steadiness.
