About My Clients
Maybe you can name your patterns clearly, even explain exactly where they come from, but something still keeps you stuck in them. That gap, between understanding and actually feeling different, is where I work. I spent a decade in nonprofit leadership before training as a therapist, so I know what it looks like to hold everything together outside while falling apart inside. My work is psychodynamic, and I believe real healing, not just management, is within reach.
How I Can Help You
I firmly believe that therapy can be an emotionally reparative experience, and our therapeutic relationship is a cornerstone of your growth and healing. When we work together, you can expect a warm, open, and affirming space where you can be your true self. There's absolutely no judgment here! I use a relational, integrative approach based on each client's unique needs, drawing from psychodynamic psychotherapy, relational psychotherapy, attachment-based therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I work from a strengths-based, trauma-informed perspective and strive to understand an individual in the context of larger systems and their environment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the healing power of sharing our stories - our thoughts, emotions, experiences, hopes, wants, and fears - with another person. As a therapist, I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental, affirming place for you to share openly and honestly. As a client, I hope you leave our sessions feeling validated, heard, understood, accepted, encouraged, and hopeful. Through lived experience and working with clients, I believe therapy can be a reparative emotional experience where we can learn to let go of what no longer serves us, deconstruct unhelpful narratives, and embrace authenticity.
