About My Clients
You might have found your way here because certain aspects of your life aren't quite clicking. Perhaps you worry that if people truly knew the real you, they'd leave. Maybe you've noticed that the survival strategies you once relied upon no longer serve you or you want to make sense of childhood experiences. It's possible that your inner critic has grown louder, and the weight of shame has become burdensome. Healing is possible. Together, let's start your journey of recovery.
My Background and Approach
I firmly believe that therapy can be an emotionally reparative experience, and our therapeutic relationship is a cornerstone of your growth and healing. When we work together, you can expect a warm, open, and affirming space where you can be your true self. There's absolutely no judgment here! I use an integrative approach based on each client’s unique needs pulling from psychodynamic psychotherapy, attachment-based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and narrative therapy. I work from a strengths-based, trauma-informed perspective and strive to understand an individual in the context of larger systems and their environment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the healing power of sharing our stories - our thoughts, emotions, experiences, hopes, wants, and fears - with another person. As a therapist, I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental, affirming place for you to share openly and honestly. As a client, I hope you leave our sessions feeling validated, heard, understood, accepted, encouraged, and hopeful. Through lived experience and working with clients, I believe therapy can be a reparative emotional experience where we can learn to let go of what no longer serves us, deconstruct unhelpful narratives, and embrace authenticity.
