About My Clients
My "passion population" are women in their 30's, 40s and 50s (or anyone else that feels hormonal) that are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, mood swings, sleep issues, or emotional changes related to perimenopause, menopause or changes in hormone levels. Many of my clients notice increased panic, irritability, or brain fog during hormonal shifts and don’t understand why they suddenly feel unlike themselves.
My Background and Approach
I am a therapist/ person who believes in being real, approachable, and collaborative. Clients often tell me they feel seen, understood, and encouraged to "grow at their own pace" without feeling judged or rushed. I like to tell my clients, I might be driving the car, but you are holding the map. I integrate evidence-based practices—including CBT, motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care—to help clients understand their patterns, build emotional resilience, and reconnect with their values and goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a cisgender female that identifies as a part of the LGBTQ+ community. Although I grew up in the "Bible Belt", my childhood was quite opposite from the stereotypical southern upbringing. My uncle contracted AIDS in the early 1990's. My mother was the first person to speak to me about destigmatizing how others talk about HIV status and living with AIDS. My whole family is rooted in advocating for the underdog and choosing empathy over judgement!
