I specialize in helping victims of narcissistic abuse and emotional abuse, including that within romantic relationships, family of origin, and workplaces. I will help you identify if you have experienced or are experiencing narcissistic abuse, work through the negative emotional consequences of this abuse (such as broken confidence, indecisiveness, panic and fear, guilt and shame, etc), and then figure out what steps you need to take next.
In treating depression, I will help you identify and change problematic thoughts and behaviors. We will explore how your current situation and past experiences contribute to your low mood and other symptoms such as anxiety. I will help you identify how your life may not be aligned with your values and, then, develop goals that would bring more meaning and purpose to your life.
In treating women's issues, my approach is rooted in an understanding of the unique challenges women may face. Together, we will address a range of concerns such as self-esteem, body image, relationships, motherhood, career, and societal expectations. By focusing on personal growth, self-care, and establishing healthy boundaries, I aim to help women navigate and thrive in a world that often imposes unrealistic expectations and inequalities.
Motivational Interviewing is another approach I use. It focuses on exploring and resolving any ambivalence or uncertainty you may have about making changes in your life. Through empathetic listening and collaborative goal-setting, we can enhance your intrinsic motivation and support you in making positive behavioral changes that align with your values and aspirations.
Psychodynamic techniques will delve into your unconscious processes, childhood experiences, and the therapeutic relationship to gain deeper insight into any underlying conflicts or patterns that might be influencing your emotions, behaviors, and relationships. This exploration can bring about a greater understanding of yourself to help you make meaningful changes.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is used to help you identify and challenge any negative thought patterns or behaviors that might be contributing to your difficulties. By working together, we can replace them with more positive and adaptive thoughts and actions.
