About My Clients
My clients want to explore their pasts and gain insight into the patterns and behaviors that have kept them from experiencing a more fulfilled life. My clients are open to non-traditional, evidence based practices, as well as traditional practices. They learn to accept, love, and forgive themselves for who they are. They set healthy boundaries to eliminate frustrating/draining relationships. They learn to engage and navigate life's journey with better coping and a healthier mindset.
My Background and Approach
I am trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing). I utilize a number of treatment modalities, such as, Psychodynamic, CBT, and DBT. I am trained in meditation. I am a 20 year + former educator so I understand the unique challenges that our educators feel today. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and gender inclusive.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
A lotus blooms under the worst circumstances...in the most foul of waters, yet it's undeniably beautiful. Life deals us our share of horrible circumstances, yet we are still attempting to grow and overcome. These scars and triumphs are what makes us unique and gorgeous. I specialize in a trauma focused, person centered approach to learning and gaining insight about one's self in a non-judgmental environment. I can help you simplify, engage, and be more present, while also implementing healthy boundaries to enjoy a better work/life balance.
