About My Clients
My clients range from adults to teens to kids. They might be interested in processing current and past emotions, feelings of depression or anxiety, exploring gender and identify, learning skills to cope with and regulate their own emotions or helping kids with theirs, and growing in their understanding of themselves and their needs.
My Background and Approach
I am a queer cis white woman. I received my Master's of Social Work degree from Portland State University in 2015. I have worked as a therapist with children, teens, families, and individuals for the last 8 years in a variety of settings including in the community, schools, teen residential, therapeutic preschool, and office based. As a therapist I am curious, flexible, nonjudgemental, and supportive of where you are and where you want to go. I use a variety of techniques including talk therapy, art techniques, and playful approaches. My experience includes helping folks with depression, anxiety, stress, loss and grief, family conflict, and exploring identity, gender, or sexuality. I also support children and families to strengthen attachment and positive connection, increase emotional awareness and regulation, and broaden parenting strategies. I strive to be culturally sensitive and LGBTQIA+ affirming. Most of my experience has been with children but I love people of all ages!
