About My Clients

Many of my clients are high-functioning adults in midlife—often women—who others rely on at work, at home, and in relationships, yet feel overwhelmed, depleted, or quietly stuck. They may be managing anxiety, depression, burnout, or strain in relationships, while questioning what they want or noticing that something in their life no longer fits as it once did. I also work with women across the lifespan.

My Background and Approach

I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and professional certified coach (PCC), working with adults in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC. My work focuses on midlife women (and men) navigating the emotional, relational, and life-stage complexities of this period. My approach is grounded, relational, and insight-oriented. I draw from psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment-based and trauma-informed care, along with mindfulness and a coaching-perspective. This allows us to understand patterns that have developed over time while also making practical, meaningful changes. In our work, I pay close attention to the pressures, roles, and expectations you have been carrying—often for years—and how these shape your current experience. Therapy becomes a place to slow down, reflect more deeply, and move toward a way of living that feels more authentic and sustainable. My earlier career in corporations, also gives me unique perspective into work stressors.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that much of the distress people experience—especially in midlife—comes not from a lack of resilience, but from carrying too much for too long without enough space to reflect or be supported. Many people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and used to managing on their own, yet find themselves feeling disconnected from what they need or want. Often people feel embarrassed to admit they need help and suffer silently - sometimes for too long and impacts their health/well-being. I see therapy as a place to slow down, pay attention to what has been pushed aside, and approach your experience with curiosity rather than judgment. Change doesn't come from forcing yourself to be different, but from understanding yourself more clearly. I also believe that meaningful change happens at a pace that respects the complexity of your life, and that therapy should be both reflective and practical—helping you move toward a way of living that feels more sustainable, authentic, and connected.
