About My Clients
Whether you’re an individual, couple, or family looking for help - my counseling sessions are designed to strengthen your confidence and assist you in the healing process. Counseling looks different for each person, couple, or family. I believe in a collaborative process and will work with you to meet your needs. I focus on healing in the context of relationships, because we impact and are impacted by others around us.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a LPC Approved Supervisor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate, and National Certified Counselor. I am supervised by Mary Nichter, Ph.D., LPC-S, LMFT-S. I believe in the importance of a strong counseling relationship and my goal is to connect with you and meet your needs. I use a variety of counseling approaches depending on your needs, such as Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and levels 1 and 2 of The Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Furthermore, I am trained in using the PREPARE/ENRICH assessment for pre-marital and marital counseling. I have a passion for helping people feel secure in their relationships.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an affirming Christian. I do not provide Christian Counseling, but it does influence who I am. However, I offer a judgment free space for everyone!
