About My Clients
You do not need to suffer the effects of the world around you--or the world you walk in daily. Let's connect to your authentic self--the self that feels all the feels--without the crippling anxiety or suffocating depression that brings so many of us down.
My Background and Approach
My approach is client-centered. It is your time--we will spend it in the way you find most useful. I want to get to know you--your strengths and your struggles--so we can identify what is best for you. I love to get in to the "why" of what people feel and do. Understanding the why is key to moving forward. There is no room for shame in my office. I accept my clients as is--it is not my place to change you but to allow you the space to decide for yourself--how to chart your path. I accept that all of us are here--as we are meant to be. Human beings are not mistakes--they can never be illegal.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I became a therapist because I wanted to see people grow. I have spent my adult life helping people. I am humbled to witness the growth of my clients--the joy they feel when they connect to the authentic self. I am an active supporter of the LGBTQIA community--it has been an honor to know them. I am a pet person--I have always had pets and at times, I have fostered cats and dogs. Human beings are precious to me--and I want the world to treat them as individuals who have the right to live their lives--as they want. When I was young, my mother died after a long illness. I wanted out of Pittsburgh--so I accepted a commission in the US Navy. I learned a lot about myself--and a lot about people. I want to help you learn about yourself--and live your best life.
