I know how important the right fit is. I know you want to find a therapist who "gets you" and "understands your struggles." I have been where you are now. Counseling has helped me as well as so many people that I know and love. I wanted to find a way to help others who are experiencing difficult times in their lives. You can get help. My Background and Approach
My experience in anxiety, depression, complex family issues, trauma, and eating disorders helps me guide clients who are struggling with many different issues. I want you to feel heard and understood on your journey to better mental health. My past experience as an elementary school teacher and paralegal helps me to help people in a variety of stressful times of life. I help you find practical solutions to problems from a fresh perspective, develop useful coping skills, learn how to be more mindful, and increase your skills in tolerating distress.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I use a no-nonsense approach to therapy, helping clients find relief and improve their lives. If you have tried therapy before and didn't feel successful or are brand new to therapy, I can help you! I have experience with blending families, being part of the family court system/custody/divorce proceedings, and stages of life. As we grow our friendships, family structure, and experiences will change. Each new season of life presents its own unique set of challenges to overcome. You don't have to navigate these unknown waters yourself.
