About My Clients

My ideal client is someone who is open to using the creative process to give visual shape to thoughts, feelings and experiences that may be difficult to put into words. Collaboratively, we can identify goals and use visual art as well as talk therapy to promote insight, development of coping strategies, and behavior and stress management. My specialty is within the LGBTQIA+ community. I have extensive experience in working with addiction, trauma, anxiety and interpersonal challenges.

My Background and Approach

I've been in the field of art therapy for 8+ years. As a non-binary therapist, I believe shared experiences allow us to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship as we connect with someone who understands our unique needs. In addition to using art as therapeutic intervention, my approach is trauma-informed and emotions-focused with an emphasis on attachment theory and inner-child work. We'll work together to integrate complex, conflicting emotions that can often leave us feeling stuck, disassociated, and alone, working together to promote growth through creative self-expression, self-awareness, and self-empowerment. Finding a therapist—especially a queer, trans/nb affirming therapist—can be a difficult process. I believe authenticity is key in establishing trust and connection. As such, I aim to meet clients where they’re at by using an interpersonal lens to externalize thoughts, feelings and experiences.
