About My Clients
Every day feels exactly the same. Bored and dissatisfied at work. Frustrated and struggling in your relationships. Disappointed and ashamed that you haven’t reached certain milestones by this point in your life. Nothing seems to be working. You’re not happy; that much is clear. I work with adults struggling with internal pain and challenges creating imbalance and suffering in their lives. You're not alone. Allow me to guide you through to the other side. I work with children as well.
My Background and Approach
Initially, you will experience a warm and supportive environment where you feel safe to share your feelings openly. For therapy to work for you, the two of us must have a sense of connection before diving deep into the underlying issues of your pain. I will ask you questions to get a better understanding of how to help you best. This assessment is the foundation of everything we do in therapy. Often, problems are not always resolvable, but you can learn to manage and cope with them. You will learn and be equipped with new coping skills to resolve personal issues, reduce stress, manage your distress symptoms, and improve your overall quality of life. I have a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy from Palm Beach Atlantic University. I have an M.S. Degree in Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. In my spare time, I enjoy reading sci-fi, professional literature, self-help, and news in general. Also, enjoy chess, Cross-Fit, and Yoga-Pilates.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a troubled young man growing up, I often struggled due to painful and difficult circumstances. I was blessed to have two mentors in my youth, Herman G. and Scott Simer. Both were counselors; I will forever be grateful for their guidance and support. There’s an old expression, “Only the wounded healer can heal.” I believe this, as my own emotional scars have shaped me into who I am today, which made me more patient and sensitive to the feelings and needs of others. One invaluable insight I've learned is how important it is to see the world not just through someone's eyes, but also to understand the culture and experiences that shaped who they are. Therapy is a great resource-but not everyone has easy access to it. That's why I also believe into the strengths and support systems already in someone's life, such as their spirituality, community, family, and other meaningful connections that can help in the healing process.
