About My Clients
You’re overwhelmed, drowning in stress, and you can't quiet your mind to sleep. You want to feel better. I’m a recovering anxious overachiever, too—I get how exhausting it is. I love working with anxious, sensitive, perfectionistic and insecure folks. We’ll tackle anxiety, self-criticism, perfectionism, ruminating thoughts, insomnia, & low self-worth. I have helped hundreds stand up to their inner bully, calm their storming thoughts, foster their confidence, and just start feeling better.
My Background and Approach
I focus on anxiety, perfectionism, and insomnia. I'm an art therapist and associate marriage and family therapist with additional training in insomnia treatment. I earned my masters degree from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, one of the country's top art therapy programs. I use a blend cognitive-behavioral with narrative therapy, mindfulness, and therapeutic art-making (yes, even online). I'm caring, real, and direct; I use humor and I’m not afraid of tears. My clients have told me that I am the only person with whom they can be completely honest, that our sessions are the highlight of their week, and that they can feel my caring from across the screen. Just recently a client told me that meeting with me every week is completely worth the investment, and that they'll happily order Postmates less often if it means they get to keep making progress with me. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I originally came from a fundamentalist background, and I have had to examine and challenge all of my values, re-writing them from the ground up. I am now proudly LGBTQ+ affirming and poly positive. I support all causes that challenge existing power structures and lift the marginalized. I am constantly striving to challenge and educate myself.
