About My Clients

You may understand yourself well and still feel stuck. Many of the clients I work with struggle with long-standing patterns of anxiety, emotional overwhelm, self-criticism, or relationship difficulties that continue despite insight and effort. If you've tried therapy before and are looking for something deeper, my approach focuses on helping you work at the root of these patterns to create meaningful, lasting change.

My Background and Approach

Many forms of therapy focus on helping you understand your problems or manage symptoms. While those can be important parts of the process, my work is centered on helping you access and transform the underlying emotional patterns that may be driving your distress. Rather than simply learning to cope differently, we work toward meaningful change at the source of anxiety, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, and recurring relationship difficulties. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York and New Jersey with advanced training in trauma-focused therapies, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Coherence Therapy. These approaches help us work directly with the emotional learnings and beliefs that shape how you relate to yourself, others, and the world. My style is experiential and depth-focused. Together, we work to heal the roots of what is keeping you stuck, creating lasting shifts that support greater self-trust, a deeper sense of ease, and more meaningful relationships.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I strive to provide an inclusive, affirming, and culturally responsive environment for people of all backgrounds, identities, religions, races, cultures, sexual orientations, and gender identities. One of the beliefs that guides both my life and my work is that all people possess inherent worth and dignity. I do not believe our value as human beings is determined by our productivity, achievements, appearance, relationships, or any other characteristic. Much of therapy involves helping people reconnect with a sense of worth that has become obscured by painful experiences, shame, self-criticism, or the messages they have received about themselves over time. I also believe that our struggles make sense when understood in context. Rather than viewing symptoms as signs that something is wrong with you, I see them as adaptations that often developed for important reasons. This perspective allows us to approach even long-standing difficulties with curiosity, compassion, and respect.
