About My Clients
My approach to therapy is simple, I meet the client where they are in life with hopes to build connection that allows space for healing. I work from a client-centered orientation with a speciality in working with trauma and grief. Trauma happens to us all and sometimes becomes too heavy to carry alone, that is where I come in to help carry the load while you learn new coping skills.
My Background and Approach
The process of unlearning skills developed to help you survive can be an uncomfortable process. I will join with you to honor the discomfort that can come with therapy as new insights are gained about self and the world. You will always be met with empathy and unconditional positive regard for the courageous choice of to make a change in your life. I work hard to be responsive in a timely fashion as I respect the strength it takes to ask for and seek help. Currently I have weekday availability with limited evening openings. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionately dedicated to equity. I work hard to show unconditional positive regard to all that enter my office. I am a woman with a physical disability. I came be a therapist after having a negative therapeutic experience. I left that session knowing that I never wanted another human to feel as invalidated as I did in that moment.
