About My Clients
‘You feel it before you know it.’ is my mantra. I meet people where they are, not where the world expects them to be. A music geek and former wedding DJ, I was working my way through college !, the Talking Heads summed it up best with ‘This must be the Place.’ which is why I named my practice The Place. I love helping people with all that life throws at us. As neurodivergent, I identify as jazz handsy, and enjoy working with the neurospicy.
My Background and Approach
I approach life, relationships, parenting and connecting others with the mantra ‘Meet people where they are’. I bring many years of teaching both in the US and within European international schools. Born and raised in a working class neighborhood in Philadelphia, then tempered within northern California, I offer direct and honest and sometimes humorous engagement combined with a mindful holding space with others. I have developed high competencies in providing psycho-education and psycho-social interventions for children and adults with emotional and behavioral regulation issues. As someone who has transplanted oneself from the east coast to the west then from the US to Europe I understand being a stranger in a strange land and all it brings. He understands the struggles of rebooting one's life in a new place.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in people and their ability to heal, survive, strive, overcome, love and live with everything life can throw at them. I meet people where they are and see where they want to go. I love working collaboratively with clients. I know everyone has a unique operating system - their brain. I believe everyone needs to be seen, heard and tuned into. For all of our wonderful differences we all share a need for connection, community, and family. For me success is measured by the quality of your relationships.
