About My Clients

I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, burnout, relationship issues, and major life changes. Many of my clients are LGBTQIA+ or identify as neurodivergent (including ADHD and Autism). You might feel overwhelmed by past experiences, struggle with focus or burnout, or feel like earlier dynamics affect how you live today. Whatever brings you here, I provide a compassionate, affirming space to help you process past hurts, build effective tools, and live a more authentic, fulfilling life.

My Background and Approach

I hold an MSW from the University of Michigan. My career spans high-acuity and specialized settings, including HIV advocacy, heading mental health teams at Washtenaw Community College, directing outpatient psychiatry centers, and working in PHP and school social work. Prior to founding Connecting Heals, I also served as Practice Administrator and Therapist at Connally Counseling, a practice dedicated to the queer community. As Clinical Director of Connecting Heals, I blend this clinical leadership with trauma-informed, relational care. I utilize evidence-based modalities—including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, and CBT—to help clients move past trauma, manage anxiety, and navigate neurodivergence. I provide 100% virtual therapy to adults across Michigan. I am in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) and offer free consultations to ensure we are a great clinical fit.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My work is guided by social work ethics and a deep commitment to social justice. As an openly gay and non-binary clinician, social justice isn't just an ethical standard—it directly impacts my life, my loved ones, and my community. I bring both lived experience and specialized clinical training in sexual and gender identity development. I understand the systemic pressures, minority stress, and unique joys of navigating the world as an LGBTQIA+ or neurodivergent individual. I care deeply about advocating for marginalized communities and providing a space where clients can be fully seen, respected, and affirmed. Outside of clinical work, I stay actively engaged in community advocacy, continuous equity training, and fostering spaces where everyone can thrive as their authentic selves.
