About My Clients
I work with adults who have ongoing challenges with anxiety or depression, or who have experienced difficult life events. I have experience working in a wide range of settings, which helps better understand my client's needs and problems, and to have knowledge of systemic challenges. It’s important to me to provide a safe space where you can be yourself, while also challenging you to grow into the life you want to live for yourself.
My Background and Approach
I bring an open, non-judgmental, and warm presence to sessions. As a therapist, I can help you gain clarity and explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals. My therapeutic approach is based in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other strength-based approaches. I will collaborate with you to set therapy goals that align with your specific situation and values and will check in with you frequently about our progress together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, I embrace the following philosophies: - I believe that emotions heal when they are witnessed and validated. - I believe that change is possible when you allow yourself the space to do the work. - I believe that therapy should address the person as a whole- their mind, body, and spirit. - I believe that, sometimes, small steps in the right direction can end up being the biggest steps in the end.
