You know yourself, your history and circumstances best, and I have a tool box full of strategies to help you build your foundation and grow. I understand learning about yourself and loving yourself is a process that takes time, compassion, and support.
My Background and Approach
I am a Mental Health Counselor, I am trained as a Massage Therapist, and Yoga Teacher; I use my training to help people deepen their connection with their true self by integrating mind and body; through a process of grounded in affirming exploration. I specialize in working with people who are LGBTQPIA+, as well as friends, partners, family members and allies. My passion is co-creating and fostering safe(r) and explicitly affirming spaces for people who are Transgender, Nonbinary and Gender Nonconforming. I offer gender affirming services, including assessments and referral letters for folks looking for this support.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
First and foremost, I am human and that is how I relate to others. I believe how we make meaning in our life is important. I value integrity, collaboration, and authenticity. I am an out and proud Queer, Nonbinary and Transgender person. When I was a youth I was bullied and struggled with depression. A counselor was the first person to tell me that what was happening to me was not my fault and with her support I gained a sense of self worth and determination that changed my life. I know you can too. I work from a holistic and systemic lens that recognizes the intersections of who each individual is and holds space to deconstruct the kyriarchy's impact while empowering the authentic self to shine through. I believe getting in touch with our past is a powerful tool to help us move forward in a more ethically sound and meaningful way. As a white person in America I value and practice antiracism and decolonization. I am an ADHDer who strives to offer neurodiverse affirming services.
