About My Clients

Most of my clients are (but are not limited to)men in their 20s and 30s who look fine on paper; working, functioning, keeping it together, but underneath feel stuck, anxious, irritable, or checked out. Maybe you're facing a major transition, carrying a loss, or dealing with anger that keeps showing up in ways you don't like. You don't need someone to just nod at you for an hour. You need honest conversation, practical tools, and a space where you don't have to perform. That's what we build here.

My Background and Approach

I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). I earned my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology and Clinical Practice from Loyola University Maryland, and my clinical work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches. In practice, that means we won't just talk about what's wrong : we'll look at how your thoughts, habits, and avoidance patterns are keeping you stuck, and then do something about it. My style is active and collaborative. I'll ask real questions, give you tools you can actually use between sessions, and help you get clear on what matters to you so your actions start lining up with your values instead of your anxiety. I specialize in depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, and anger management. Sessions with me are structured but human: expect directness, expect homework that's actually doable, and expect to laugh sometimes.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy works best when it's honest, practical, and a little bit human. I've never bought the idea that healing has to be heavy all the time; humor and hard work belong in the same room, and some of the most important shifts happen when you can finally laugh at the thought that's been running your life. I also come to this work with lived experience. As someone with a spinal cord injury, I know firsthand what it means to have life change in an instant, to grieve the plans you had, and to rebuild a meaningful life anyway; not by pretending the hard parts aren't hard, but by refusing to let them have the last word. I don't just teach acceptance and values-based living; I practice them daily. I believe struggle isn't a malfunction; it's part of being a person. My job isn't to fix you, because you're not broken. It's to help you stop fighting yourself, get clear on what you actually care about, and start moving toward what matter, even when it's uncomfortable. Especially then.
