My Background and Approach
I’m a NYC addiction psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience in a private office based setting. Here is how an addiction psychiatrist excels in addiction treatment expertise. In addition to four years of training in general psychiatry, I have an additional two years of specialized addiction psychiatry fellowship training in treating addictions, as well as all potentially co-occurring psychiatric disorders - anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, etc. It is this dual training in general psychiatry and addiction psychiatry that allows me to help those with addictions, even those who have failed their treatment with other clinicians.
