About My Clients

I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, and major life changes. My clients often feel disconnected from themselves or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. They may be processing past trauma, managing overwhelming anxiety, or questioning their identity and purpose. Many are drawn to a depth-oriented approach that honors both science and inner wisdom. Whether you're healing from the past or finding your way forward, I create a safe space where all parts of you are welcome.

My Background and Approach

I began as a neuroscience researcher at McGill University studying emotional regulation, but realized understanding the brain wasn't the same as understanding people. This led me to clinical training where I discovered Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy—an approach that helps you develop a compassionate relationship with all parts of yourself rather than fighting against them. I specialize in trauma and anxiety, integrating IFS with somatic techniques and nervous system regulation. My neuroscience background informs how I understand trauma's impact on your body and brain, while my training in contemplative practice (including study with the late Daniel P. Brown) brings depth and presence to our work together. I believe healing happens when we work with your nervous system rather than against it, honoring what your body is telling you. Whether we're processing trauma, working with anxiety, or navigating life transitions, I help you reconnect with your own wisdom and find pathways to

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I'm committed to social justice and believe therapy should be accessible to all, which is why I prioritize accepting Medicaid and working with underserved communities. I'm an active supporter of LGBTQ+ rights and work to create an affirming space for queer and trans clients exploring identity and healing from discrimination. My practice is informed by antiracism and an ongoing commitment to understanding how systemic oppression impacts mental health. I recognize my own privilege as a white, cisgender man and continually work to educate myself on cultural humility and liberation psychology. I'm passionate about integrating Eastern contemplative wisdom with Western psychology, believing ancient traditions have much to teach us about healing and wholeness. I've trained extensively in Tibetan Buddhist meditation and work to make these practices accessible beyond their traditional contexts. I believe in the power of nature for healing and the importance of environmental stewardship.
