About My Clients
I am a resident in counseling, specializing in adolescents and young adults, as well as families in crisis. I have experience working with addictions as well as severe mental health diagnoses. At this time I a wide range of clients from teens to maturing adults. I have over 10 years experience working with addictions as well as severe mental health diagnoses, and women's issues.
My Background and Approach
It is my role to stimulate dialogue and create an environment that allows for meaningful change through gaining awareness and improving insight. I provide a collaborative and integrative approach while helping individuals and families. I am skilled in treating mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar. I also treat families and individuals in crisis, as well as young adults and adolescents. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, as well as Internal Family Systems, and Family of Origin Therapy. I obtained my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Auburn University and my PhD at Trevecca Nazarene University. My dissertation examined the effects of mindfulness with depression, self-forgiveness, and stages of change as it pertains to people in recovery
