About My Clients
Many of my clients are adolescents, adults and children adjusting to new phases in their life and need help navigating their way through the rough bumps and turns in the journey. Some common issues I help with include: changes in friendships, relationships, new and/or soon-to-be parents, stress management, attending school/university, career changes, emotional regulation, and processing past trauma.
My Background and Approach
I graduated with a master's degree in clinical social work from Boston College in 2019. I have an extensive background working with children and adolescents in the school system, but I enjoy working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. I typically use a psychodynamic approach and will oftentimes integrate aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) depending on the needs of each individual. I have an energetic and warm personality which provides a sense of comfort and and ease in a safe space for every client. Please feel free to reach out to me with any other questions!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
All of our past experiences and past relationships have played a unique part in molding and shaping us into the person we are today. I believe knowledge brings power! In order to make any change, we must first gain a better understanding of ourselves and how we were molded. My approach to therapy is centered around self exploration and recognizing connections in how past experiences have influenced our present thoughts and behaviors.
