My Background and Approach
I have experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder from childhood with disruptive and repetitive behaviors, social skills, transitions. As well as adulthood to living independent, relationships, social skills, and etc. In addition, I have worked with individuals who have experienced trauma during their life time. From children which is typically play and art therapy base. Adolescents and adults treatment approach is a mix of approaches that meet your meets. I am trained in EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) for any individual who have experienced PTSD trauma, or complex trauma. Also, I provide family therapy through Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) which is evidence base for children 2 to 7 years old who have behaviors such as but not limited to: tantrums, non-compliance. I am grounded in humanistic therapy which is seeing the person first. Then I pull evidence and strength base approaches that match your unique needs into treatment.
