About My Clients
My clients struggle like you do. Despite being a dedicated parent, loving spouse, and positive contributor to their community, life is hard. When my clients start therapy, they feel overwhelmed with their daily schedules and crave more joy in their lives. They might resent being the "default parent" and the spark of their relationships are dimming. Their sense of being "stuck" gets in the way of the life they want in so many ways. They aren’t the kind of parent they want to be. T
My Background and Approach
I began my career working as a special education teacher for 8 years. I found myself wanting to work with teens and their families to help create better foundations for their lives. I pursued my masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University and began my new career in 2016 in Colorado Springs, CO. I have specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. s a marriage and family therapist, I can work with you individually or as a family to help you design a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling. As a military spouse and former special education teacher, I can help you navigate the resources available to you and support you as you curate what is working and what is not. As a mother, I will listen to your honesty and encourage you to recognize how shame and guilt can impact your ability to be fully present with your family.
