About My Clients
You may be dealing with anxiety, depression or trauma and finding it hard to explain what is happening inside. Perhaps ADHD or autism affects how you process emotions, cope with change or connect with other people. I work with adults and young people, including those who have experienced bullying or often feel misunderstood. We can use conversation, creativity and practical coping skills to find what works for you. To work with me, book through my website.
My Background and Approach
My style is calm, authentic and relational. I want to understand your story, not just the symptoms that brought you to therapy. I have extensive experience supporting people from different cultural backgrounds, and I approach that work with cultural humility rather than making assumptions about what an experience means to you. I use CBT and art therapy, adjusting our work to your age, needs and the way you communicate. Some people find it easier to understand an experience through drawing or creating before they can talk about it directly. We may also notice patterns in your thoughts, build coping skills or look at how painful experiences are affecting you now. I have more than four years of intensive behavioral experience with neurodivergent children, adolescents and adults. I’ll let you set the pace, but I’ll also gently challenge you, encourage you to try new skills and help you recognize the progress you’re making.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I know what it can feel like to be weighed down by the past and unable to see beyond what you’re going through. Someone once helped me recognize my own strength and move forward, and that experience shapes how I show up for clients now. I believe healing can be serious without every session feeling heavy. There can be room for warmth, creativity and lighthearted moments alongside difficult conversations. Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time trying new recipes and binge-watching TV. I’m also an artist and have personal experience with caregiving, grief and mental health recovery. I want therapy to feel like a genuine relationship where you are understood, supported and gently challenged when it may help you move forward.
