About My Clients
My clients are self-aware and know that they need some support while grieving a loss, dealing with a new diagnosis/illness, or are caring for someone who is dealing with a diagnosis/illness. They are individuals who are high-functioning in everyday life but on the inside are overwhelmed, exhausted, scared, and feel alone. They don't want to avoid the hard conversations and emotions, rather, they want to do more than just cope, and regain a sense of agency and meaning amidst difficulty.
My Background and Approach
I tailor my approaches to your individual needs and goals. Everyone is different and not all types of therapy work for everyone's needs. I mostly utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Existential Therapy approaches. These approaches are not meant to be a temporary means of symptom relief, but when engaged in, can help you create deep, lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Regardless of our beliefs, backgrounds, identities, life experiences, or circumstances, we all experience grief, loss, or illness at some point in our lives. Everyone deserves support and safe spaces to do healing work. I am deeply committed to helping my clients feel seen, heard, and understood in sessions. My own therapy helped me move through incredibly difficult times in my life and heal emotionally from loss and illness, so I believe that you also have the capability to re-discover your strengths and not just survive, but thrive. I am here to help, so if you'd like to talk, schedule a free consultation with me.
