My ideal client is one looking to make changes in their life. One who is willing to take suggestions and try to work on the changes. I mostly work with the following issues: Depression, Anxiety, stress, and past trauma. I also work with clients who have struggled with having stable relationships due to having past negative experiences or past trauma. I also worked with clients who have an anxious or insecure attachment style, which may have impacted their relationships with others.
My Background and Approach
My name is Stephanie. The name of my private practice is SMR Mental Health Counseling. My main specialties are Depression, Anxiety, past trauma, stress, and having anxious attachment style in relationships. I use evidenced based approaches such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I incorporate techniques such as learning to reframe and challenge your thoughts, regulating your emotions, working on radical acceptance, and other helpful strategies. These techniques can help address internal and external areas within your life. Imagine a life where you're not held back. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
For over 17 years I’ve worked in different settings such as addiction treatment centers, dual-diagnosis programs, nonprofit, and private practice. I have worked with different groups like teens (ages 14+), adults, families, the LGBTQ+ community, Veterans, Law Enforcement, and First Responders.
